Playgroups can be such a wonderful way to connect with other local families – making new friends and sharing your parenting experiences. They are also a great way for your kids to interact with other kids, play with different toys and learn new activities. Plus, playgroups are a rather cheap way to spend a few hours each week and a perfect wet/ hot weather option. For further information on playgroups, including a list by day of playgroups welcoming new families, check out our Local Playgroups Guide.
Centenary Uniting Church holds a playgroup and English conversational class every Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 12pm during school term. The messy playgroup is all about meeting, talking, singing, dancing and there is both indoor and outdoor play.
Parents are encouraged to share their gifts by helping with painting, crafting and storytelling.
