Free Kids Gardening Classes | Flower Power Stores @ Flower Power - all stores

In this FREE interactive workshop, kids learn about the unique environments plants thrive in from avid deserts to tropical rain forests. They also enjoy getting their hands dirty during a potting exercise, where they’ll plant their own seedling to take home and care for. The FREE gardening classes are held at all 10 Flower Power stores. But the kids eat for FREE deal just for attending the workshop isn’t available at Mascot, Glenhaven or Milperra! See below for details.

We attended a workshop at the Prospect Flower Power in the first week of the July school holidays and my two preschoolers had lots of fun. In addition to learning about worms and planting some strawberries, we went on a little walking tour to see herbs, vegetable seedlings, fruit trees, worm farm and tadpoles. Plus look for snail shells.

The staff were very friendly and engaging and managed the group of about 20 kids really well. All materials are provided and kids will be able to take home one potted seedling.

    • Who: Kids from about 3-12yrs (with parent/ carer supervision).
    • When: Starts at 11am each weekday. The sessions go for about 30-45mins.
    • Where: At all Flower Power Garden Centres, including Prospect, Glenhaven and Milperra.

Registration is not required, but if you are thinking of bringing a large group please call the store ahead of time to give them a heads up.
