Join us as we celebrate NAIDOC at Blacktown Showgrounds in the July school holidays!  NAIDOC is a special event in Blacktown, which is home to the largest urban Aboriginal population in Australia. It is a day of music and celebration. A day to remember Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contributions to the wider nation.

NAIDOC Family Day 2019 will feature performances by:

    • MC Jie Pittman and Jackson McBain
    • Glenn Skuthorpe
    • Marlene Cummins
    • Jannawi Dancers

Young performers from the Blacktown area will showcase their skills and bravely take to the stage to vie for prizes in our talent competition – ‘Blakfullas Got Talent, So You Mob Think You Can Dance Idol Competition’ hosted by Jackson McBain.

There will be face-painting and activities for young people, or browse stalls selling Aboriginal goods including jewellery, clothing and art.

    • Event wet weather hotline 9839 6577. For more information, call 9839 6167.
    • This is a drug, alcohol and smoke free event.
    • Note: this event was originally on Tuesday 9th July

Blacktown Showgrounds has a fun large playground but keep in mind that the Grounds Keeper Cafe is CLOSED on Tuesdays. And just around the corner from Blacktown Showground is the Fairwater Park and play area with a scooter track and cafe.
