Got Pho? in Carlingford has a relaxed feeling. A ‘welcoming table’ near the front door is piled high with fresh fruit in baskets. The decor is fun and funky. One whole wall is painted their signature yellow. Another wall is painted chalkboard black where you can see a variety of the menu items available and fun quotes/ messages.
The kitchen is in full view and the food and drinks are prepared fresh and quickly before your eyes.
There are lots of wooden tables with a mix of chairs and stools. Highchairs are available for little ones. And there is enough room to move easily around if you have a pram.
Upon arrival you choose a table, look over the placemat style menu that are sitting on your table and then order at the counter. Within minutes of ordering our whole table had received their meals and we were tucking into rice paper rolls, crispy lemongrass chicken, spring rolls and of course, pho!
Delicious Food and Drinks
Everything was delicious and came with a generous serving of sauce to match each dish. Simple fresh ingredients, good value for money and very satisfying food served promptly by the friendly wait staff, will have you wanting to return again soon.
Pho is a traditional south Vietnamese dish. Beef broth slow cooked for 12 hours, served with rice noodles, bean sprouts, fresh herbs and hoisin satay sauce. Got Pho? has a variety of pho noodle soups to choose from, salad bowls, nibbles/ sides, drinks and sweets.
I couldn’t leave without trying the Vietnamese iced coffee. It was sooooo good. It transported me straight back to a much loved holiday in Vietnam. The kids loved the 3 melon fruit shake of watermelon, honey dew and rockmelon. Other dessert options include waffles with fruit (though sadly they weren’t available when we visited), banana fritters, sweet potato crisps and ice cream.
