Lil Miss Collins - Parramatta Pop-upLil Miss Collins has popped up in Parramatta again. This time on Wentworth Ave, just around the corner from Parramatta Library and Jubilee Park. The cafe is a refreshing shot of rustic comfort, set amongst a lot of concrete and car parks. And their outdoor courtyard is a lovely spot to enjoy the winter and spring sunshine. With a ‘for the bubs’ section on their menu, room for prams and some chickens, the new Lil Miss Collings pop-up cafe is a nice spot to take the family. And if you have a four-legged family member, they are welcome too.

Food and Drink

Lil Miss Collins incorporate locally sourced ingredients into their dishes. Meaning the food is fresh and tasty. Generous sized coffee cups are a treat in the sheltered outdoor dining setting. The menu lists gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Plus there is a dedicated section for kids and the option of lovely, frothy babycinos.

Tuesdays are now know as Shout A Mate day at Lil Miss Collins. And when you buy one take away coffee, you get another one for FREE.

Facilities

Next to the kitchen, is a tiny little play area for kids, with a mini slide for bubs and toddlers and a see saw. There are also two chickens and if you ask a waiter, they may give you some food craps to feed them. Plus there is a wheelbarrow vegetable garden with mostly lettuce growing at the moment.

The cafe has one very large single bathroom with a toilet and sink, but no baby change table. The bathroom does though have enough room to do a pram change. And there are baby change facilities at Parramatta Library, about 130m away.

A word of warning: the courtyard isn’t enclosed. There is the entrance and we also noticed a gap in the fence next to the chickens. So if you have little ones that like to wander and move fast, then you will need to keep an extra close eye on them.
