City of Parramatta Council recently gave the Constitution Hill Shopping Village a $130,000 upgrade. There’s new seating, gardens, parking facilities and more.

To celebrate these upgrades, you can enjoy a week of FREE family fun activities, including dance, art and coding workshops, chance to win $50, craft kit, online storytime and promotional offers from local retailers.

1Free Kids Workshops

Three local stores are offering FREE workshops during the Constitution Hill Family Fun Days. There’s dance, art and coding workshops available for children 5 to 14yrs+. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL. Register your interest via the form on Council’s website and then the relevant business will respond to you to confirm your place. NOTE: there are limited spots available

Art Workshops – Sharz Art Design

Sharz Art Design are offering a number of different art workshops for kids 4yrs+.

  • Monday 26th October: Preschool playtime fun for preschoolers (4-5yrs) at 12pm to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 2pm
  • Tuesday 27th October: Paint a water picture (5yrs+) from 4:45pm to 5:15pm
  • Wednesday 28th October: Learn to draw workshop (5yrs+) from 5pm to 5:30pm

Codertainment are running 30min coding trial lessons on:

  • Thursday 29th October at 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm and 6:30pm
  • Saturday 31st October at 9am, 9:30am, 10am and 10:30am

3Hallowread at Constitution Hill Library

Visit Constitution Hill Library to see their special Halloween display and borrow some books to enter the Hallowread competition (see below). While there, also make sure to collect a Halloween craft kit and colouring in sheets. They’re available from 19th October to 2nd November but there are limited stocks available. Keep in mind the reduced opening hours of the library at the moment. On weekdays it’s open from 10am–12pm and 2pm–4pm and on weekends the library is closed.

Finding Constitution Hill Shopping Village

The shopping village at Constitution Hill is just behind the library, from the intersection of Hollis Street, around onto Emma’s Crescent.

There is street parking in front of the library as well as behind, off Greenleaf Street.

And before or after a visit to the library and shops, there’s a small playground to enjoy at Greenleaf Park.
