Deakin Park lies just north of the M4, along Silverwater Road. The park has a large fenced dog area, with obstacles for furry friends. And now has a brand new playground that opened in July 2020.
The playground is in the back corner away of the park, away from Silverwater Road.

There’s a scooter track around the outside, birds nest multi-directional swing, musical instruments, climbing frame and slide.
The new playground is in roughly the same location as the old one. So it should still enjoy some natural shade from the surrounding trees at different times of the day.
It’s a big change from the old playground!
Dog Park
Next to the playground is a fenced dog off-leash area. Fur members of the family should be excited by this part as it has doggy play equipment.
Finding Deakin Park
The back of Deakin Park runs along the M4, near the intersection with Silverwater Road. It used to be in the Auburn Council area but not resides within the City of Parramatta. The park is best access from Beaconsfield Street, where you will find street parking.

Shame that the give way signs are upside down.
Lol…we didn’t even notice – but you are right! We’ve let Council know.
