I loved looking for fairies when I was a kid. And now some lovely mums are helping create a little magic for kids by creating the Glenorie Fairy Forest.
It’s next to Glenorie Creek, behind a small playground.
The playground is accessed from either a path between 23 and 27 Cairnes Road, or Wirra Place in Glenorie.

Once at the playground, go through the fence and head right along the track. You’ll see decorations hanging in the trees and miniature huts and furniture on the ground.
There’s also usually a few painted rocks to find there too.
Visitors are invited to help the Glenorie Fairy Forest grow by adding homes and objects. But keep to natural material in case they get washed down to the creek.
We enjoyed visiting the garden and playing in the playground. Though weren’t lucky enough to spot a fairy – but you might be! Keep in mind that there’s no shade over the play equipment.
Afterwards we drove around the corner to Glenorie Bakery for a yummy treat and play (as well as some delicious croissants take away). Plus we always enjoy watching the model train.
Finding Glenorie Fairy Forest
The Glenorie Fairy Forest is located behind the playground at 25 Cairnes Road, Glenorie. You can also access the park via Wirra Place, in between houses 3 and 5.
Hello went to the Fairy Forest today….. you might want to pop out there and have a look at what is there now, it’s all damaged and dirty and google has listed this place as closed. There is nothing there that resembles a fairy forest. We walk on the outside perimeter fence, there were broken crockery and that’s about it.
