As part of the NSW Gov’t Stronger Communities Fund, a number of parks in the former Hills Shire Council area are getting upgraded/ new playgrounds in 2018/19. This includes the new playground at Lindisfarne Reserve, which opened mid-August 2018.
The playground sits at the top of the reserve, near Lime Grove, under power lines, and is a good one for young climbers.
There are two towers, connected by a rope wall, with a double slide, rock wall and cubby houses underneath.
There is also new exercise equipment nearby.
Unfortunately there is no shade over the play equipment, but large trees in the reserve to sit under for a picnic lunch. There is a large grassed area behind the playground, down to Farnell Avenue.
Finding Lindisfarne Reserve
Lindisfarne Reserve runs between Lime Grove and Lindisfarne Crescent in Carlingford. The playground is best accessed from the end of Lime Grove, where you will find street parking. You can also get to this playground by bus 546.
