The playground is set away from the road, down a little hill, and is partially fenced.
- three swings, including disc and toddler seats
- climbing play gym, with slide
- balance beams
There are also seats and a picnic table at the small playground, but no shade.
And lots of bush to explore at the back of the playground!
Water Dragon Bushwalk
From the playground, you can take the Water Dragon Walk, which then links up with the Moxham loop track and the Pemulwuy Loop.
15 minutes they say….but only if you take the right fork – literally! The first time we did this walk we clearly took the wrong (aka left fork) path. It took us more like 80mins to loop back around. And the last 20mins was us making our own path back across the creek and through the bush. It was still great fun with lots of sticks, mud, trees and water for the kids to enjoy.
The next time we did the walk, with the Parramatta Little Bushwalkers group, we went right at the fork and stuck to the house line, heading back to the road and the end of the little walk.
Once at the corner of Moxham Road and Allambie Ave, you can continue on to the Moxham loop track and John Curtin Reserve or head back to Otto Losco Reserve. To link up with the Moxham loop track, walk down Moxham Road to after the bridge, then turn left and down the stairs that go under the bridge. Then follow the bush track, keeping to the left (and following the creek), until you reach a creek crossing. This will take you to John Curtin Reserve. The walk from Otto Losco Reserve to John Curtin Reserve is about 30-45mins with preschoolers and toddlers.
