The Sir Thomas Mitchell Reserve is not far from the popular Dundas Park (with the water playground). It has a sportsfield, small playground and amenities block.
It is a easy walk from our place and we used to go there a lot when we first moved to the area and while the playground at Dundas Park was being upgraded. We haven’t been for a while but noticed some work going on there so went to check it out again.
The small playground at Sir Thomas Mitchell Reserve is set back about 20 metres from Alexander Street, near the toilet block.
The playground has some natural shaded, mainly in the afternoon, and includes:
- two swings
- vertical spider climbing wall
- monkey bars
- small climbing play gym with slide and climbing wall
Council has very recently installed a dual bbq, two picnic tables and bins.
