Across the road from Parramatta East Public School is a small local playground. It’s fenced except for an opening at the entrance. Looks like a lovely spot to wait to pick up the school children with your younger child.
The playground has some natural shade from the nearby mature trees, synthetic grass and a couple of park benches to sit and relax.
The play equipment consists of a play tower with a slide, naughts and crosses, alphabet board, binoculars, maze board, clear dome windows and steering wheel. Plus a set of swings with 1 child swing and 1 toddler swing.
Outside the (mostly) fenced play equipment is a grassy area with enough room to kick a ball.
The playground is located on a corner block of 2 very quiet streets. I’m sure it gets very busy at school drop off and pick up times though.
Finding Symonds Avenue Reserve
Symonds Avenue Reserve is across the road from Parramatta East Public school, near where Kissing Point and Victoria Roads meet. The playground is at the T intersection of Symonds Avenue, Gaggin Street and Webb Street. There is street parking and you can get there by bus.
