We love having the option to add to a hot drink, milkshake or lunch when we visit a playground. And surprisingly now know of over 120 food/ play combos in the greater Parramatta area! With so many, we have divided them up into where the playground and play areas are located. This article focuses on open/ unfenced playgrounds at parks within a 20km radius of Parramatta CBD.

These open playgrounds are usually best suited for young kids. Most have more than one food option within easy walking distance. Though not all are cafes, some are take away food places. A downside of open playgrounds if you have little ones or more than one child, is that they aren’t obviously fenced. A number of them on this list are however set well back from the road. See our list of 26 fenced playgrounds with cafes nearby if you want the extra peace of mind.
