Wahroonga ParkWahroonga Park is a pretty park and reminds me in a lot of ways of Ryde Park.

It is easy to fall in love with the playground there. It is fenced, large but not that large that you can’t always spot your child, has a fantastic range of colourful play equipment under shade cloths, there is plenty of seating around the fence and a cafe across the road. But this is also why it is very popular and can get very busy.

Within the fenced playground, the equipment includes:

  • ride on kid sized train
  • pirate ship climbing play gym
  • two swings
  • mini flying fox
  • rockers
  • musical instruments
  • merry-go-round
  • twisters
  • cubby house

Just outside the fence, there is another set of swings.

Riding by the playground

The playground is best suited for toddlers through to young primary school kids and there is a mix of soft fall and bark on the ground.

Other Facilities

Throughout the grounds of Wahroonga Park are gorgeous manicured gardens and there is also a rotunda, lots of open grass to picnic or play on, plenty of paths to ride or walk on and toilets. The Park plays host to the popular Twilight Concerts every year.

Just across the road from the playground, is the new Cafe Patina that opened last week, replacing Coonanbarra Café. We look forward to trying it out soon.
