We love indoor soft play centres on a cold, rainy day! Lots of open space, mix of toys to play with, jumping castles to burn off energy and synthetic grass floor which is gentle on little knees. Plus they are great when you have two or more little ones and want to be able to see your little ones. But sadly indoor soft play centres are very rare. Which is why we were super excited when Kids Zone Blacktown opened in 2017. It brings the number of indoor soft play centres in the area back up to two! And enjoy visiting on rainy days during the week.

The first cool thing about Kids Zone Blacktown is that you can bring your own food! Yes, you heard right. While most indoor play centres don’t allow food to be brought in, you don’t need to worry about sneaking it in here. And they have hot drinks, simple hot food and snacks that you can purchase.

The next thing we really like are the inflatables. They aren’t your usual jumping castles, which makes it a bit more interesting for the kids (and us parents). Plus my preschoolers were able to get on and around without my help.

There are also ride on cars, play gym, see-saw, slide and some other toys. My boys LOVED the ride on digger, hexagon climbing play gym and rubber donuts.

I really liked how the tables are set up to look into the play area, through the mesh. It meant that I could chat with a friend while our kids played and we could easily keep an eye on them.

The set up changes from time to time and the space has been expanded since it originally opened to a great 1000 square metres of fun for little ones!

The toilets are around the corner from the entrance and there is a baby change table in the disable toilet. Just watch your step walking into the ladies toilets – we all dripped on the little lip. There is air con and fans in the seating area but I imagine that it wouldn’t make much difference on a hot day in this big metal shed. And Kids Zone Blacktown is pram friendly.

My boys are all smiles and giggles playing at Kids Zone Blacktown. And I always leave with with two sweaty, happy boys. So yay for having a fun, reasonably priced wet weather option. Even with a 30min drive, it is definitely worth it in my books.

Kids Zone Blacktown is very similar to the other soft play centre – Kids Playland – at Castle Hill. Just a larger, newer version. Keep in mind that on weekends and school holidays both turn into an Inflatable World.

Opening Hours

Kids Zone Blacktown is only open Monday to Friday during school term from 10am to 3pm.
