Chipmunks Prospect has been a regular wet/ cold weather option for us this year. Thanks to the big slides and ball area that my kids love.
Plus, the special entry deals they’ve been running over the last few months is hard to resist!
I like the spacious feel of Chipmunks Prospect and the fact that there are HEAPS of tables for parents to sit at. Plus you can see most of the play equipment from any of the tables.
My kids really like the inflatable slide. I’m just sad that I can’t have a go too! Instead, I watch them come down with their BIG smiles and getting nice and sweaty from going up and down.
But I do have some fun going down the big slide with them. And really enjoy catching up with other mums while our kids happily play.
Keep in mind that the slide is fast and there isn’t much stopping room at the bottom. So chances are you may bump into the barrier net. And best to move away quickly once you are done if there are other people coming down.
There’s lots of climbing fun for the kids, with the hard to miss massive climbing castle play structure taking up most of Chipmunks Prospect.
And there’s a section in it with ball cannons that my kids love using. We usually bring a reusable shopping bag so they can more easily carry balls up to the air cannons. Keep in mind that you sometimes need to go hunting for balls as they get moved all over the place. Plus some things in here aren’t working and need to be repaired.
And it’s not just fun for the bigger kids. There’s a special under 5yrs area, which is gated – though it’s not always closed.
But staff do regularly remind people to keep it close. On weekdays, when we mostly visit, most little ones also have great fun in the ‘older’ kids area.
And little ones really seem to like the inflatable ‘mattress’ that is light up.
There’s also a trampoline and lots of other little sections with balance beams, stepping stones and other fun play things.
You’ll find toilets and a cafe at Chipmunks Prospect. The cafe has a good mix of food. I enjoy the wraps and my kids like the mini kids pizza ($3). Most things are reasonably prices, except the tray of chips which we think it a bit pricey at $9.90!
This is one indoor play centre that I can go to with my kids and actually sit and enjoy a bite to eat and adult conversation without interruption! Well most of the time 😉 It’s not the newest and shiniest indoor play centre, but for $5 that doesn’t matter. And let’s face it, fun is fun for the kids. They don’t really care how they have fun for a few hours, but my wallet is a little more concerned sometimes!
- Monday to Saturday: 9:30am to 5pm
- Sunday: 10am to 5pm
Thankfully there is no charge for adults and kids under 1yr old are also free. General admission is $11.90 for 1-2yr olds and $14.90 for 3-11yr olds. On school days all kids are $11.90. But keep an eye out for special deals on their Facebook page, like the $5 entry before 11am on school days deal at the moment.
REMEMBER to wear/ bring socks to wear!
Finding Chipmunks Prospect
Google Maps took me to the back of Chipmunks Prospect the first time I went, at the roundabout and fence and said I was there. You actually need to drive up Rowood Road and enter the strip of home maker shops, where there is lots of parking.
Chipmunks Prospect is in between Home Sweet Home and Swimart, near Amart. There’s just a door at the carpark.
You pay at the counter and then allowed in via the closed gates.
