We first went to Crocs Playcentre at Castle Hill for a birthday party just after it opened in 2018. And WOW it was so much fun! Needless to say, we’ve been back a few times since!
There’s lots of things for kids of different ages. Plus party rooms for hire and Muffin Break so you can relax with a coffee while the kids play.
Crocs Playcentre at Castle Hill is extending the pay your age deal to March 2020. It’s available Monday to Friday and means the entry price is the age of your child. Thankfully adults are free!
Crocs is located on Hudson Avenue, the road that loops behind Victoria Avenue. The Crocs Playcentre is a bit hard to find. On our first visit, we actually drove straight past it twice! Just look for the big ‘Flip Out’ flag and drive up that driveway. There’s a lot of parking but the carpark was nearly full at 10am on a Sunday morning!
When we got inside we were impressed! You pay at the entrance or get a tick next to your name if you were lucky enough to be invited along to a birthday party! Then there’s pool fencing from one side to the other and it opens into a huge open space that is colourful, noisy and fun with kids everywhere!
There are lots of tables and chairs in the middle of the room and party rooms all down one side. You can choose to host a birthday party in a Disco, Princess, Pirate or Underwater Party room. And they even have a baking party room too.
On the opposite wall are toilets, a parents room and baby change. The baby play area, the toddler play area and the entire back section is the main play area.
The main play area has:
- cycle track around it with trikes for the children to ride around
- long bumpy quadruple slide
- steep double slide
- rock climbing wall
- ball pit with ball cannons up above
- lots of steps, openings, climb throughs
- jumping castle
The main play area isn’t gated off from the large table and chairs area. Children can come and go through the opening at the front near the slides and the opening next to the jumping castle. Don’t worry there is that huge fence at the entrance! It just means you can sit back and relax with a coffee and a muffin. Yes! The Playcentre has its very own Muffin break. With all the usual items so you could easily stay for lunch too.
The Crocs Playcentre has a socks on policy! So if you forget to bring socks you will need to buy some at the front desk. The Playcentre is like a large warehouse and with only socks on our toes we were a bit cold on the polished concrete (August weather). Most of the time the kids were busy running around and didn’t notice but it might be worth rugging up in the cooler months.
We had a great time! Very well thought out play area with something for everyone. Perfect way to burn off some energy. And it’s easy to see why it’s popular on wet weather days.
Keep in mind that no outside food or drinks are allowed, with the exception of baby food and children’s drink bottles. Special dietary requirements can be catered for contacting Crocs Playcentre Castle Hill management.
