Rydalmere Public School Playgroup is a community playgroup located in the grounds of Rydalmere Public School.
They welcome children from 0-5 years of age and their parents or carers from the local area.
It runs on Monday from 9.30am to 11:30am throughout the school term and there is a gold coin donation to attend.
West Ryde Wombats is a community playgroup for children 0-5yrs held at West Ryde Community Hall on Monday , Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30am to 11:30am.
Our playgroup is a chance for the kids to explore different toys, interact with other kids and generally have fun running around and playing in a clean, large and safe space as well as a chance for parents to connect with other local parents.
Most of our playgroup is spent in free play and parents take turns organising a weekly group activity for the kids, such as craft, cooking or singing.
The hall provides a great, large, bright space for the kids to play in, with a wide range of toys for babies through to pre-schoolers. There is a covered outside area, which we have access to most weeks (as it is shared with another organisation).
Our playgroup is run by the parents/ carers attending. All families are required to participate in the roster for group activities (and morning tea for the Monday group), setting up and packing up toys and other equipment as well as other organisational duties from time to time.
Our sessions follow the NSW public school term dates, with four terms a year of between 9-11 weeks. The fee to attend is $20 per school term per family to cover the hall rent, toys, equipment and craft consumables. We are associated with Playgroup NSW and all families attending need to be members of Playgroup NSW.
Children attending playgroup must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Grandparents, nannies or other carers are most welcome. We respectfully ask that the accompanying parent/carer speak English for safety reasons and follow instructions from playgroup committee members.
Gooden Drive Reserve Playgroup has space for new members on Mondays from 10am to 12pm. The playgroup is best suited for kids ‘almost 2 and upwards’. The cost is $40 per term per family.

Greystanes Groovers are very well equipped, with numerous toys and activities to engage children from babies to school age. The hall at Nemesia Street Park is very well suited for playgroup as it has a large open area inside as well as a full fenced area outside.
When attending Greystanes Groovers you can expect your child to enjoy a variety of different toys, from slides, balance beams and mini trampolines to toy car garages and cars to toy prams and dolls. A variety of activities are also on offer, including musical instruments, dress ups, a toy kitchen and building blocks. Most weeks (working off a prearranged roster) one parent will arrange a craft activity, anything from simple colouring in to constructing items and decorating them with paint and glitter.
While at Greystanes Groovers there is time for morning tea. We ask that everyone bring along a piece of fruit and this will be chopped up and shared on a platter by all the children. Morning tea for the adults is arranged by just one parent each week on a rostered basis.
To participate in Greystanes Groovers you must be a member of Playgroup NSW. In addition to this, $28 per family per term is payable to Greystanes Groovers to cover the costs of hiring the hall and running the playgroup (replacing toys, craft materials and cleaning items).
If you would like to know more, or come along and visit one of our sessions we would love to meet you. Please contact us and we can arrange a time with you!

They currently have active groups on Monday and Tuesday and would love more members on either day. The committee are also keen to get Wednesday, Thursday and Friday active again, so if anyone is keen please contact us and we can support you to get started.
We meet in the hall under the church, enter via gates on Cnr of Carlingford Rd and Orchard St. You get two free visits to our playgroup to see if it is right for you. If you’re interested after the two visits, our term fee is $20, plus membership fee to Playgroup NSW ($39 annually).
Walk-ins are welcome but if coming on a Monday, avoid the 3rd Monday of the month as we have a park day due to other activities in the hall.
