National Tree Day – City of Parramatta | Winston Hills@ Third Settlement Reserve

Join City of Parramatta on Sunday 28th July at our largest community tree planting event! National Tree Day 2019 marks the third and final instalment of the three-year project to add 10,000 native plants to the endangered ecological community at Third Settlement Reserve, in collaboration with Planet Ark.

The family friendly event will feature a range of entertainment and food options.

FREE activities include:

  • Community tree planting – help plant 10,000 native seedlings
  • Fun for the kids – wildlife display, face painting, biodiversity games, pop-up library
  • Lions club sausage/ veggie sizzle free for the first 1,000 people
  • City of Parramatta Bushcare Stall with 500 native plants to give away to plant at home.
  • Suez sustainability and waste stall
  • Tree painting and Darug tool making
  • Ice cream and coffee

Event kicks off at 10am at Third Settlement Reserve, Edison Parade (opposite Euclid Street), Winston Hills.

There is also a fun playground at Third Settlement Reserve for young kids and it’s just a short walk from the National Tree Day event. Plus, there are toilets, bbqs and picnic shelters nearby.

Make sure you bring drinking water and wear sturdy closed-in shoes, a hat and sunscreen.

City of Parramatta supports Plastic-Free July. No water bottles or cups will be provided on the day. Please make sure you bring enough drinking water for the duration of the activity. A water refill station will be available on site.
