Jul 19 @ 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

After years of planning and work, Nurragingy Miniature Railway opened on Sunday 17th November. It runs on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 10am until 3pm.

Nurragingy Miniature Railway

  • Train rides are $3 each with passengers under 3 years of age requiring a paying adult over 18 years of age to accompany them.
  • You MUST wear fully enclosed shoes to be able to ride the rails.

Unfortunately there isn’t any signage at the moment and unless you know Nurragingy Reserve well, it can be hard to find. The railway is west of the water playground (which is behind the waterfall), along the green Parklands track just past the Magpie Picnic Area. We recommend going left at the roundabout when you enter Nurragingy Reserve and parking near the water playground and then walking over to the railway.

Little Folks United | Uniting Church North Parramatta @ Uniting Church-Parramatta Centenary | North Parramatta | New South Wales | Australia

Held every Friday during school term from 10am. Cost is $30 per term.

“Little Folks United” is a Playgroup NSW playgroup on Fridays 10-12 in the Uniting Church hall on Sorrell St, North Parramatta.

It’s well resourced with toys, craft supplies and extras (eg sand for occasional sand pit set up). There is 1 mum/carer on craft each week, which means planning, setting up and cleaning up the activity (this is not as cumbersome as it sounds!). There is another mum/carer on morning tea each week, which means bringing morning tea for the adults and cutting up fruit for the kids (each person brings a piece of fruit each week)

The kids range in age from birth (several newborns last term!) to pre-schoolers.

The mums/carers are lovely and we have a kids-free night/lunch out once a term – to help make up for the conversations we don’t get to finish on Fridays. We have a party on the last Friday of each term, which always goes down well.
