The Bower Repair Cafe | Parramatta @ The Bower Reuse & Repair Centre | Parramatta | New South Wales | Australia

Come down to The Bower’s Repair Cafe in Parramatta on the last Saturday of every month from 10am-12pm. The repair cafe is free, but bookings are essential!

You can bring your broken items and they’ll put you on the path to fixing them. This is a free advice service, not a guaranteed repair. Come along, have a cuppa and our skilled repairers will do their best to help. Repair Cafes originated in Europe, and the Bower was the first to bring this concept to Australia. Generally we are only able to look at one item per person.

Items that can be repaired: Small electronics, wood furniture. Please note we are unable to repair microwaves or large whitegoods within the timeframe of a Repair Cafe.

Please bring a notepad and pen to take any notes that may be helpful afterward.

Volunteer electrical technicians and The Bower’s timber workers are on hand to advise and assist members of the community to fix dodgy small electrical items, or rickety tables and chairs. We take time to explain the repair process to every participant, helping them to learn new skills and understand the
benefits in repairing and reusing.

Depending on which item you would like to bring along please select electronics or furniture when you book a ticket. You can bring one item and book only one ticket per person.

Please note that parking on Hunter Street is free for fifteen minutes only.  You can park in the Justice Precinct Car Park for $3 an hour on Saturdays.

We hold Repair Cafes in Zetland, Redfern and Parramatta, please see our website for a list of dates and times.
