Sydney Olympic Park NSW 2127
On every Sunday, Riding the Rails takes visitors on a 30min train ride around part of the former Royal Australian Navy Armament Depot, on a train once used to transport missiles, torpedoes and other WW2 munitions. With snippets of commentary from on-board tour guides, Riding the Rails takes you past buildings dating back to the 1890s, including explosives storehouses and workshops, cottages, and a wharf.
And make sure to have a play at the fab Blaxland Riverside Park while you are there!
Tickets for Riding the Rails can be purchased on the day at the Armory Visitor Centre (located near the main entrance to Newington Armory).
