I was frustrated that even with the overwhelming amount of covid data being shared with us, it was still difficult to understand what was happening where I lived and how it compared with other areas. And I wasn’t the only one struggling to make sense of all the data. So I’ve created an infographic with the weekly vaccination rates, new cases in the last fortnight, active cases and key population information. I’ve also included the ranking of the LGA compared with the 32 other Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Greater Sydney.
At first, I created the infographics for the LGAs in the greater Parramatta region. But then had requests for the same infographic for other LGAs. So there’s now created an infographic for each of the 33 LGAs in Greater Sydney.
The sources I’ve used are:
- Australian Department of Health for LGA vaccination rates
- NSW Health for active cases (reported as active for 14 days from the onset of symptoms)
- Covid19data for new cases in the last 14 days (based on date of positive covid test)
Summary of Covid Vaccination Rates and Case Numbers for Greater Sydney LGAs
Here’s a summary of the data I’ve used to create the LGA covid infographics. It’s particularly helpful to show the ranking of the LGAs for active cases, new cases and vaccination rates. And listed here in alphabetical order by LGA.

LGA Summaries in Alphabetical Order
Here are the infographics for each of the 33 LGAs in Greater Sydney, in alphabetical order. You can scroll through them, or jump down to a particular LGA. Note: Not all infographics will be updated each week now. Check the date on the infographic to see when it was last updated.
