This list is out of date due to changes to JP services because of covid. We hope to update the list soon (May 2021). In the meantime, here is a current list of JP Services prepared by Julie Owens MP.
We’ve all been there, needing a Justice of the Peace (JP) to certify that a document is a true copy. I confess to groaning every time this comes up. Before going on maternity leave, I could just go to the legal team where I worked. But now, I need to find a JP and make sure I can get to them when they are there.
I thought it would be great to collate a list of JP’s available at scheduled times, in case anyone else is looking. These are by no means all the JP’s in and around the area. You can see a full list here. And please comment below if you know of any other local places that have a JP regularly available.
The list of JP’s sessions is divided into three groups:

The times for Cumberland Council are all wrong! I’d suggest calling their number to check.
Hi Lucy, as stated in the article, the times listed for Cumberland Council are a ROUGH GUIDE as some sessions change each week. The sessions listed were correct when the article was published a month ago. A link is provided to Cumberland Councils JP calendar. All the best
Hi there. I work for Cumberland Council and you have the WRONG times. Many of those dates are at least TWO years old. The link does have the current, correct times, but how many people actually follow the link? All the best.
Hi Lucy, we took these dates from Cumberland Council website at the time of publishing in MAY 2019 (so not 2 years ago!) and provide a link to Council’s website for the current dates. If the dates regularly change then we are better off removing the information all together and just providing the link. Or are they now set for the foreseeable future and we can update again?
