Arthur Phillip Park, also known as Redbank Park, is just off James Ruse Drive at Northmead. It’s a popular sportsfield and there is also a playground at the corner of Redbank Rd and Park St. Plus there is a walking track around the park, BBQs and exercise equipment.
The playground is a nice spot for a play outside of the hot summer days.
It’s fenced along the road and has:
- three swings, including a toddler seat
- monkey bars
- climbing play gym with a slide, tunnel, abacus, climbing wall and ramp and fire poles
- mini flying fox
- suspension bridge
Between the playground and oval, there are a number of covered picnic tables and bbqs. The park also has:
- toilet block,
- 1/3 basketball court,
- exercise equipment, and
- path around the perimeter good for riding a bike or scooter on.
Finding Arthur Phillip Park
Just near Pancakes on the Rocks at Northmead, the playground at Arthur Phillip Park is on the corner of Redbank Rd and Park St. It is a very short drive off James Ruse Drive and there is street parking. A number of buses run along James Ruse Drive and Old Windsor Road (t-way).
