There’s a new playground at Douglass Avenue Reserve, best suited to kids 3-6yrs. And it’s in a new location, closer to Woodstock Road and the shops.
Around the outside of the play equipment is a scooter track, with a refuel station.
There’s then two small climbing play gyms, with two slides and connected by two bridges.
There’s stepping pads and a balance beam, plus a little climbing wall and balancing, swinging poles.
At the front of the playground is a disc swing.
Douglass Avenue Reserve is located amongst houses in Carlingford in between Jenkins and Pennant Hills Roads, near North Rocks Road. It runs from Woodstock Road on the north end, along Douglass Avenue and down to Kirk Place. The new playground is best accessed from Woodstock Road.
Here are pics of the old playground, which has been removed.
There is lots of natural shade over the play equipment and plenty of bushland to explore. Plus, across the road at the Woodstock Road shops, there’s a street library and the Woodstock Collective that sells food and drinks.
