Positioned in a gorgeous spot overlooking Rozelle Bay and the Bay Run/ Walk, is the Constellation Playground in King George Park. Not surprisingly, as the name suggests, it has a space theme design and equipment!
There is a variety of equipment to suit a range of ages. Little ones can enjoy the swings, sandpit and slides, while older kids can play on the rope climbing tower, tripod swing and a flying fox.
The slides and sandpit area are covered with shade cloths and there is normally a lovely cool breeze off the water. Making this a nice summer playground.
After a play at Constellation playground, it is worth taking a wander around the rest of King George Park. There are sporting fields, toilets, picnic tables, bbqs, exercise equipment and a paved walking/bike path. There is even a seawall and small sandy beach, perfect for skipping stones.
Plus, you and walk or ride across the Iron Cove Bridge over to Drummoyne Swimming Centre or Birkenhead Point Factory Outlet.
Finding King George Park
The playground is located next to the Iron Cove Bridge and is accessed by car from Byrnes Street, Rozelle. There is street parking along this street, but it can be hard to find. Alternatively, there is parking back on Manning Street.
