We love autumn in our family, particularly the cooler days when the sun is out and the autumn colours. Plus it makes for great playground playing weather. So we’ve developed a list of 20 top autumn playgrounds, from Ryde to Blacktown with a focus on the Parramatta area.

Fred Robertson Reserve
Fred Robertson Reserve, Oatlands

Nearly all the top autumn playgrounds have some natural shade. Most have a softfall or synthetic grass ground, so less chance of getting muddy after rain. Only a few have water play – great for a warm autumn day but best avoided on the cooler ones. And some have a bushwalk nearby, as autumn is a great time to go nature exploring!

This top autumn playgrounds list has playgrounds for bubs through to teenagers. And a mix of small to large playgrounds. We struggled with choosing just 20 and you can see our longer list of autumn playgrounds here.
