On a glorious, warm day we would normally be soaking up the sun at a park. Unfortunately one such day we had to do some shopping so headed to Lidcombe Centre where you can combine both.
Lidcombe Centre was renovated back in 2016 and you will find a range of shops from Aldi, Kmart and Woolworths to Spotlight, Party Discount Store and Anaconda. There is also a pet store, fruit shop plus a variety of smaller homeware, beauty and clothes shops. Plus a number of lovely cafes and nice take away food places.
And the cherry on the cake is the great, fenced outdoor playground with shade! Here your little ones can happily play while you can soak up some sun, enjoy a coffee and recharge before hitting the shops again.
Chow Bella cafe is right next door to the playground and you could watch your little ones play from the outdoor seating. Though chances are you may need to get take away to save getting up and down to open the gate all the time.
A little bit further up, next door to Woolworths, is Leaf Cafe. It also has outdoor seating and some yummy burgers and smoothies. If you aren’t after a cafe, there is a large food court where you can grab a bite to eat.

There is no longer a free indoor baby/ toddler play space but there is the gorgeous ChouChou Bebe play area and cafe.
